Long term direct exposure to light can cause aging, which is difficult for people to prevent. However, if people can prevent and slow down the aging rate in advance, how should they do it?

The first prerequisite for the aging or photochemical reaction of color steel coils is that the surface components of the color steel coils can digest and absorb radiation; Secondly, when the radiation energy absorbed by the molecular structure exceeds the bond energy of the molecular structure, the color steel coil coating can dissolve. Because the shorter the wavelength of the light source, the higher the kinetic energy it contains.

Based on this basic theory, the embrittlement of color steel coils in air pollution is caused by the digestion and absorption of kinetic energy in the ultraviolet band of natural light, which is higher than its molecular structure bond energy, by the molecular structure of the coating, resulting in the dissolution of the coating molecular structure. With the aging of polyurethane coatings, the base material itself gradually disappears, and the surface of the coating gradually becomes less smooth and loses its luster. This type of missing base material ultimately leaves a relatively stable color paste object, which remains in the form of unbound powder on the surface of the polyurethane coating, and the entire process is called delamination.

In general, polyester color steel coils with different coating thicknesses have very different anti-aging characteristics. The anti-aging ability of thin coated color steel coils is weak, and the anti-aging characteristics of all normal thin and thick coatings are relatively good.
